Blue Ameraucana thread!

Pics
Thank you,
I was trying to post pics of my blue roo and two blue pullets, but this site doesn't cooperate with my galaxy 5 very well and I got frustrated and gave it up. I'll try again but the pics may show up randomly.

I would agree, looks like a roo. If you look at the comb you'll see one central rib with two smaller ribs on either side. My roo looks just like that, whereas my pullets have just the single center rib, and much smaller.

Hi,
I'm new to chickens and I have 4 baby ameraucanas, 2 blue and 2 black. I don't know if I have pullets or roosters yet since they' re only 1 week old. My question is, are the ameraucana roosters very noisy? I'd love to have a rooster to raise my own chicks, but I have neighbours too.
Thanks.

In my experience, they aren't any different from any other rooster. They all crow. The frequency and volume, I've found, almost always depend on the individual bird and is hard to predict based on breed. Though my bantams sound kind of shrill, while my larger breeds have deeper voices. My Ameraucanas and EEs do tend to begin crowing a little later than others. Good luck!
