Blue and Splash Orpingtons, differences and pictures please

The whitish one in back is a splash and the ones next to it are blue? Thank you all for your help. I think both types are really beautiful and like them both, but was just wondering in case I decide to hatch some and start breeding them. It seems you can't go wrong with that, plenty of demand.

Thanks, so white one is a splash and darker is a blue? I think I have it now. Very pretty birds.

Is it true that you breed a blue and a black you will get all blues? I would think that splashes would be just as popular as blues.

Yes, the whitish one is the splash and the others are blues.

When you breed blue to black, you can get some of each color, that is, blues and blacks. When you breed splash to black, you get all blues.

Breed two blues and you may get a splash or two. That's the only way other than breeding the splashes themselves to a blue or to each other.

Do you have other types of chickens? Like aracaunas and if so how do I get on the waiting list for your bbs orps and others if you have them?

I have a mixed laying flock that was overseen by two Barred Rock roosters, so I did have purebred Barred Plymouth Rocks. My main rooster died in a fluke drug reaction and his son was injured right afterward, so I at the moment, only have the Blue Orps. I'm finishing my list this month and wont be mailing hatching eggs during the summer, probably not till late September. At that point, I wont make any waiting list, but will gather eggs and offer sets of them on BST.
I hope to have a BR rooster with the flock again by then as well as possibly, this fall, adding a second Orp rooster with his own ladies.
