Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

If you've ever done rubber stamping, you know that you have to ink up the stamp well and use lots of pressure to get a good image. Since the eggs are not flat, and you have to 'roll' the stamp on the egg, it's really difficult to not smudge and to just get an even image to transfer. At least that was my experience.

I thought I could roll the egg on the stamp...the ink made the egg slip AND (like Kansaseq said) I couldn't apply enough pressure. The bright side...I will return the unused stamps and get more money to buy rubons!

Nat...the microwave was fine...truly. I think I left a bit of water in some of the eggs, so they had a buildup of steam pressure. Again...my fault I'm sure!

I bought alot of the same rub ons you have and im having a hell of a time getting them to rub onto the eggs. The black ones in the little booklet, Ive rubbed and rubbed them suckers and they are still stuck fast to the paper. darn things!! I also bought some on the left side of the photo and I cant get them to work either. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to use a hair dryer to soften the suckers up or what, Help me out here or I have wasted alot of money LOL

Not to be obvious, but there's normally the clear plastic sheet with the rubs ons attached, then another clear plastic sheet under it protecting the rub ons from rubbing onto the retail packaging. Are you sure you took the back plastic off? The rub on should feel slightly rough where it would stick to the egg.

I was ready to bow my head in shame, so I went to check. Some of them have like a hazy paper on the back and some have clear. Yes I took the paper off the back, so glad I did or I would be

I know the above FOR A REASON. I'm a crafting nightmare, honestly.

And I would also not recommend krazy glue. For ANY reason.

This is the 1st time in my life I have put my hand to any sort of craft, so yes, im sure I will be going thru all sorts of trouble. But I am happy to say I only broke 2 eggs learning to do the holes ready for blowing them out, Ive not blew any up in the microwave and not cracked any while rubbing them...so I do have someone watching over me

I finished another dozen tonight ... sent 2 home with my step-daughter for her and her mom and didn't get photos of them. Everyone's eggs are looking great!!!
