Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

Hi! I use bleach --- soak them in bleach water. They come out sparkling white

Anyone have any tricks for keeping the hot glue sticking? I'm having a heck of a time. I have my stuff all decorated, dried, etc and a little tiny tug at my hanging string and the glue pops right off. It's so frustrating! I gave one away today and just unwrapping it caused the string to fly off.

I tried Krazy Glue.... but:
a) I glued my fingers together
and
b) I got glue everywhere and it dried a really dingy grey color on my eggs.

So I moved to hot glue thinking I was doing something right...

darn!

Hi! When applying that type glue, I use a toothpick or a pin --- it doesn't take much.
I shouldn't admit it, but I was opening the *super bonder 409 industrial grade instant adhesive* and cap was stuck --- I had the tube of glue in one hand and the egg in the other. I used my teeth as a vise and glued the whole right side of my mouth shut.
I can be a disaster as a crafter, but I just charge on through.

THANK YOU FOR THE SMILE!

I'd like to not admit some of the things I've done but they do add a certain hilarity to life.

It never occurred to me to try applying it with something, I just gushed it out of the tube. Sigh, some days I wish I got those elusive female genes for crafts and decorating.
