Blue Cochin is beating up all her friends.

I was thinking it was a Roo also but my friends who had them said that their chicks all look like that and turned out to be hens. I have never had a Rooster ever act like this either though. They are always so calm and even let the pullets bully on them. I am new to this breed and have no clue on their personality. lol

The too small space makes pecking order aggression much worse than it would be if they had enough space. Overcrowding stress is serious, and can cause extreme aggression to the point where they start to kill each other. It's no joking matter. They need to go outside.

I have had chickens for years. I grew up raising them. I do know what I am doing believe it or not and I really do not appreciate the criticism. I know that it is time. The weather here in Michigan just jumped out of the 20's yesterday and is now raining. I plan to put them out but this has been going on from when we first got them as little ones, it's not a newly developed situation. I was just asking if anyone was familiar with this. I was not looking to get lectured and ridiculed. Please find a nicer way to reply to my posts or please do not reply at all.

Regardless of breed ALL birds will be individuals. :)

Maybe your friends don't remember what age their Cochin started looking like that... he's definitely a cockerel.

Are you going to be able to keep him? Or maybe your friend want another "hen"?!

I like the name Blue Zilla. Hopefully he will chill... but most likely he will need to be put in check.

Best wishes.
