This is a simple chart for breeding BBS

Blues are a tricky color just because there is so much variation. These are 3 pullets

Beautiful Blue Cochins -- I think they are gorgeous birds in whatever color variety they are!

Question -- on the B/B/S breeding chart -- does it matter which gender is the Splash parent and which gender is the Black parent to get 100% Blue? In speaking with B/B/S Breda owners the normal BBS breeding chart goes out the window where Breda are concerned -- apparently the Breda throw some different % surprises in their breeding.

in terms of things like lacing yes. But those are just estimates on the amounts. Depending on the coloring lf each bird will truly decide what colors you get out

So, basically, you're saying it doesn't matter which parent is the Splash or which is the Black, and that percentage-wise the offspring should very closely turn out mostly Blue chicks in a Splash/Black mating? It's also interesting to me that there can be such variations in Blue from very light with hardly any lacing to very dark blue with very defined lacing/edging. Both are pretty IMO but I tend to lean toward defined lacing.

Yes either parent can be either color. Doesn't matter which is which.
Black X black = 100% black
Splash X splash = 100% splash
Splash X black = 100% blue
Those pairings produce 100%. That's what you will get and only get.
The other pairings where more then one color can be produced are percentages of results. You can get more of one then the other but the percentage is just odds on what you'll get.
