Blue on the chest is better. They should not have any copper on the chest. I believe in the SOP up to 10% copper on the chest is permitted but not ideal. Look for and breed from chickens that do not have copper in the breast area.

Oh sorry I apologize. I could have sworn I saw on the Black Copper thread that they had said up to 10% is allowed but not desirable. I do know that no copper is good and some(very little) copper is permissible. Sorry I added the 10% with out facts.

she looks alot like my dark blue that i posted recently. I love the color, and she looks nice. In my
case I know that mine is a blue copper under the hood so it may be different.

Is your intent to breed her with a blue roo (no copper)?

I have not decided what to breed her with yet.
