Yes and no. There are Lavender and Isabelle Marans around. The copper will not look like copper with lavender. Lavender dilutes black AND RED so the red gets diluted down to a creamy golden yellow color.

the genetics of lavender will never let real copper come through. it will always dilute the copper.

This cockerel is quite the character. He kept photo bombing the LA cockerel. I wanted to asked what you all think of him? I see his flaws and good points but I would love some other opinions. I would like to know if I am seeing him correctly. He's my first BCM cockerel. I only got one pullet out of my hatch and this was the boy I kept out of five others. His name is Giles. I have a trio of Blue Coppers. Is this the proper color for them? My rooster is way darker nearly black and my hens are not showing any copper coloring at all. They were late May or early June babies.

draye, Can you post some pictures of yours so we can see them?

a nice medium blue would be what your are looking for with blues. a little darker than this roo above would be my preference I like the dark blues best.
