Blue eggs

In 75 years of off and on chicken raising, I have never seen a truly speckled chicken egg, where the "so call speckles", would not wash off! They are truly a surface phenomena, and part of, or mixed with the water soluble natural coating of the egg shell.

You break the egg and observe the inside, to determine the exact color of the egg shell itself!

Granted, I have not tried to scrub the speckles off of a robin's egg, but maybe I really should give that a try as well!
