Hurray! Thanks! I was worried since she had red wattles/comb at five weeks old (when I got her from my friend who raised her with the three other chicks—we shared an order).

I know, I mentioned her being a splash laced in my first post... I know the title says BLRW, because she was purchased as a BLRW and the hatchery description said they could either be splash laced, blue laced, or black laced... so she’s still a BLRW, not a SLRW, right? I’ve never seen that second acronym used.

Here are some photos of a Lacey from today. (She will be six months old in one week.)
She’s very sweet and gets along with all the others. Not a lap chicken anymore like my exchequer leghorn, mottled Cochin, or splash Maran... but I guess I’m glad I don’t have 15 lap hens—my lap is not that big!
