Blue Laced Red Wyandotte - culls??

Hi everyone!

So I kept back 4 of the BLRW chicks I hatched this spring. Very luckily, they turned out to be 3 hens and 1 roo!

I have a beautiful blue and a gorgeous splash...and then there are these 2...

One is my roo and the other a hen, and to me, they’re looking more like gold laced. Should I cull these guys or is this typical of the BLRWs?

I don't know, but I would love a patterned hen like that. She is gorgeous! I got bantam partidge cochins this year hoping to get patterned birds and ended up with 3 males and 0 females.

They are beautiful! Correct? I don't know, although there's a lot of variation in the expression of the blue. They would look fine here too.

I am not sure either but they are pretty.

Maybe if you don't want to keep them they could be sold.....

Yep, i would have offered to buy them if I hadn't maxed myself out on numbers and if i lived in the same country haha! The coops are full!

If they don't have a name for that variation, you could call them Smokey Laced Red Wyandottes!

Haha that’s what I was thinking! They are Smokey!

I’ll try and get a pic tomorrow of them with the real blue and splash girls and you can see the difference.

Dang they're so pretty..... but I'm not familiar enough with the BLRW to say one way or the other

That splash looks like a cockerel
