First just let me say it is almost impossible to judge a bird from pictures...you need to
feel the bone structure..
This is a baby and
my opinion is based on baby's and different then if it was an adult. Since I can't feel her this is a guess and really does not carry much weight.
I like her comb so far..nice and refined
She has a delicate looking body from the pictures..long and lean..she should be round and fat looking already.
good flat shoulders
Her chest looks like it is coming in and she should have a deep chest. Hopefully it will fill
in as she grows and fill
out too. I see some nice front end curves starting.
Her rear is narrow boned and comes to a taper. I would not say she is pinched tail at this stage, but it is something to keep an eye on.
I think she will be a good egg layer from length of back as long as her hips widen. Narrow hips lead to egg laying issues and too many kept hens die horrible deaths from egg laying issues. I cull all pinched tailed birds. I do not give them away or sell them.... I do not want any of my birds suffering from defects that can be solved with a sharp knife.
I would add calf manna pellets to her feed to get some muscle on her.
I like her width of leg and leg color, so that makes me think her hips might widen.
I like her red color (It will deepen with age)
I do not like her white neck at all..I personally would not use her in my breeding program for that reason alone. She might work in other breeding programs if it was not in any of the other birds or in the line. You would have to use a black male I think or an extremely dark blue male.
Pullets change a great deal after they start to lay..they..fill out a bit more.
I
would keep her in my egg laying flock if her rear spreads..she is very pretty.
