They are my first batch so I would love opinions. I am a silkie girl so these are new to me. I hatched them from Foley eggs.

I'm trying to understand the term "mossy feathers" does anyone have pics of them?

I' m pretty sure this is mossy. Never had anyone over to critique my birds, but this is probably bad markings.

That is what I interpret mossy to mean, too. If there is any color bleeding through on the feathers other than where it is supposed to be. Like the black dotting places in the gold gives it a mossy look.


Here are some old photos of my kids from Jerry Foley I hatched out. I need to get some new ones since moving them to a new pen.

And I need to take more photos of the youngsters hatched from my own birds, the roo is from Buddy Henry and an exceptional fella in personality and temperament.

Don't you all notice that the BLRW roos are very personable?
