I meant to say, also, that your chicks are really young to be secure in assigning gender, even without the complication of single combs. Wyandottes in general mature very slowly, and I suspect that BLRWs may be particularly tricky because the hens have distinct hackles. When I got the four young BLRWs which for reasons of sheer insanity I named Anni-Frid, Benny, Bjorn, and Agnetha, they were still similar enough that I had a couple of bad moments thinking I had three cockerels. At twelve weeks!
