Blue or Self-Blue (lavender)?? What Color D'Ya Think?

So, tell me, what do you folks think Shadow is, blue or lavender? He came from the straight run assorted bantam bin and I just assumed he was blue, but is he possibly self-blue?

I'd say self blue.

Looks lavender to me too. Very pretty! Do you know what breed it is? What is the comb type? Looks like maybe cochin (if it has a straight comb).

Jody, I'm sure he's a Cochin. Thought his foot feathering wasn't bad for a hatchery chick. His comb and wattles are really red now and I believe he's eight weeks old, if I remember correctly.

I'd guess Cochin EXCEPT for the foot color.

Lisa, what do you think he is? I haven't ever had a Cochin and he doesnt have a beard or I would have thought D'Uccle. I know there are Booted Bantams without beards, but that seems a bit exotic for Ideal Poultry to send to a feedstore in a bantam assortment. Or is it?

Most self blues have bluish shanks. I could be mistaken but I don't think there is a standard for self blue cochin. I don't see it in my SOP as a recognized breed.
