Blue Orpington Cockerel over Brahma...Need advice!

Here are a few pictures of one of my blue orpington cockerels:

In the early spring, Tuffoldhen offered hatching eggs for sale. They were from her winter flock that consisted mostly of her Orpingtons and a couple of Light Brahma hens that lived with the Orpingtons for warmth.

This fella is a result of that pairing. Isn't he great! I need a feel of what to do with him and what would happen if I bred him back to Light Brahmas.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm in love with him! Wonder what would happen if he was put back on brahma hens. Hope someone has answers.

He is the king of his domain! On the other thread, I said rose comb, but I guess it is a pea comb in early stages. Is that right?

You would eventually get blue columbian Brahmas maybe 4 ggenerations to get the type correct.

I love the Blue Columbian! Reminds me of the look of the coronation Sussex.

I did plan on putting a Lavender Orp rooster on the hens for a Coronation Sussex.

Coronation is lavender colombian.


Get some Lavender orps from hinkles.....The benefit of coronation is it will breed true.
