Super sweet birds, especially my rooster, Bash (Sebastian, ala TV series Reign). I have only two blue partridge hens and the rest straight partridge. Bonnie is the best of the bl. pt hens, as far as pattern. Betsy tends to more reddish tones and less consistent patterning.
They do eat more than the other breeds. My two hatchery Brahmas I used to have did not, but these big ones from a good breeder in NY definitely chow down more, especially my Dark Brahma hen who is with them and is head hen.

Some sons of his that I recently sold, how had not achieved the full pattern yet.

They are so beautiful and I love how the feathering and color pattern on Bonnie she looks like the high class women with the dresses from the old western movies or victorian style.
