I’d posted a month or so ago about the “Blue Rock” chick that didn’t look like one. I got some guesses - the australorp being one of them. What do you guys think now that she’s older?

She is looking leaner than what I recall my other Australorp (in 2012) looking. The one I had before was “Big Mama” as she was big. This one, not so much.

She is about 20 weeks now. I don’t think she is laying yet.

I got her from a feed store and they get most of them from Mt Healthy, but some from Hoover’s.

I got a light cream colored egg yesterday (not sure from which chicken). Are the "white" eggs of a black Andalusian white like a leghorn's white eggs?

the egg I’m referring to is the top egg

I don't know for sure about Andalusians, but I've had some chickens of "white" egg breeds that actually laid cream colored eggs (too light to really be called brown, but not the very white color you see on the common eggs in the store.) Your top egg reminds me of the ones I'm remembering.
