Blue Swedish Ducks???

my blue swedish girls are so loud, i'm afraid it's disturbing the neighbors

. especially Blue, she is my daughter's favorite, otherwise I would have to find her another home!

My blueys are cute but they don't seem to lay much unless I've confused some Swede eggs for muscovy eggs, which is possible. I'll find out in about 25-30 days.

They quiet-ish, hate being penned. My silver is an egg eater - not sure if it's breed, don't think so - the guy was selling her suspiciously cheap.

They're very pretty and cute and like to play. And I never see them, well, to put it crudely... I don't see the Swedish ducks raping the chickens even 1% as often as I see the Muscovies do it. And that's helpful.

Not sure about comparisons, but we got 2 blues and 2 blacks this summer. They were pretty talkative. We loved it, and only have 1 full time neighbor, (the rest are seasonal), and he never complained. We did butcher them 2 of them this fall, and the other 2 were killed by a predator of some sort.

Now that my roosters are crowing, I dont know which would have been louder.

My Sweds havent started laying yet and i got them in march so im guessing late augest early september. They are pretty quite some of them but theres others that wont shut up along with the three pekins i have.

i just got 3 Swedish black ducklings they are 30 days old (based on feathering ) how long before i know if they are drakes or hens? also what will they do to my chickens (3 hens) if they are all drakes? this is my first time with ducks and i am also worried that i may have one hen will she be as bad off as our hens where when we got a straight run and ended up with 6 hens outta 25 chicks
