I was reading on the Wyandotte thread and discovered that the shanks should be yellow. So what now?
The man I purchased her from has not proven to me he really studies the breeds he sells/swaps. He owns a feed store and the last time I purchased 2 hens from him they were very sick and died. However, I was able to save our flock, thanks to all the helpful instructions given to us from the folks at BYC . Long story and will not bother with him anymore.
Meanwhile, I had picked up this blue Wyandotte and a Columbian Wyandotte from him as well. The Columbian has the yellow shanks. Both hens are beautiful and well. Apprx 8 to 10 weeks old. I'll try to get some pictures soon.
Just wondering about those slate colored shanks on the Blue . . .??? Thanks!!
