This was my first hatch, a broody hen hatched them. My rooster is a buff orpington, and then the hens are the RIR, Astrolorps, etc. Also did 1 pure bred BO. I'm curious to see how the Astrolorp cross will turn out, I was told it was a sexlink and that it was a rooster, correct me if I'm wrong. I will post update pics so feel free to follow this thread if you are interested how they will turn out. Also feel free to post pics of your crosses too, especially if you have BO-RIR crosses or Bo-astrolorp crosses.

Based off pictures on another thread of cockreal feathering I would say the BO×BA is definatly a boy. Right now he is in his ugly stage but the feathering is pretty cool.

Ok time for an update I suppose, I have 3 little roosters and 5 little hens, combs are night and day difference so it's easy to tell. They are all doing good, they are 6 weeks old now. I'm still waiting for the hen to take them up to roost right now they are sleeping in the nest boxes and pooping in them. I will probably cover the nest boxes tonight to see what happens I will make a ramp today because my roosts arnt the easiest to fly up to. A nehbor will be taking the BO-BA cross when he gets big enough. Enjoy the pics :)
