I'm excited to meet you and some others there, too!
I am delivering some birds to a friend there, but am not showing. I haven't started that yet. I have been downsizing for over a month. I am down to ...... well, down to where it is difficult to decide who will go now. I think I would like to get down to just a dozen each of New Hampshires, Barred Rocks, and Delaware projects. Maybe........ Problem is that I started hatching late, and still have quite a few growing out. I would like to keep them longer - to see how they are gonna turn out.

Decisions - decisions.....
Well Ms. Kathy it just so happens that I too downsized and have lots of extra room in one of my coops and I would be more then happy to take a trio of those incredible New Hampshires off your hands, it would be the least I could to help you with your "downsizing" efforts. :)

I like the tails on yours better than the one posted earlier. Send me that first male. I lost one of my males last night in this hurricane that came through here. You have a cleaner look on your males.

The Dels are really coming along nicely.

Walt
Sorry to hear you lost one. Was that the only male you had?
I have a pen of a dozen cockerels from this year. Why don't ya just come on over and get one or two!

I would like some feedback, even if it is critical. I put a lot into this, and would especially appreciate Walts and Bob's thoughts.
I wanna hear it, too. And Bill's (NYREDS) opinion, too.
You already know my opinion.

I dont know much about this breed as I only look at Red Chickens , however when you talk about a T Pee tail on females these should fit the bill very well. Nice looking bird everybuddy even though they are N H R===s.

Today I moved one of my males into a pen of Good Shepherd New Hamp females. I wanna see what I will get with that mix. Likely a big mess.... the pullets are a wide variety of color, shape, and size.... no consistency at all in the few I have. Oh wait - yes, there is some consistency in one area.... pinched tails.

Bob,
You have already figured out those red birds. It's time for a change. Orange is a nice color. Very pleasing to the eye. Try it. You'll like it!

Here are pics of some of my 2012 hatch rosecomb cockerels. The birds are 5 to 6.5 months old. They do have flat backs when standing properly. For me good pictures are almost as big a challenge as breeding.
Do you think the back looks wide enough and do they have brick shape for breeders?

Red is pretty too!
Good luck with the birds
Charlie

Kathy I have to admit orange is tempting. I had New Hampshire R===s about 20 years ago they were more like Franks birds in color but nice birds. Those birds of yours are some real eye candy if there ever was any. The Dels are gorgeous too. Great great job. Be proud girl.

Well, thank you so much Charlie!
Just let me know when you are ready to take on some orange birds. I hope to start hatching early next year.

I know what ya mean! I will work on getting a decent picture and end up taking a hundred pictures. Then - the best one is like in front of my junk pile! OR, I will zoom in too close and cut off part I wanted. Like these I took today.....
