I am pretty sure that Wade Jean didn't raise skinny Marans like the ones in the pictures. These are pretty much hatchery quality with maybe the SPR's being an exception. They are too small though.

Well...now that I am texting I have to economize and use abbrev's.......when I start using POL, lockdown etc shoot me in the head.

Regis Philben said he thought the downfall of our social society was going to be because of RAP music, then when he got the wind of texting and all the abbreviations and shortcuts he then knew society as we once knew it was over and done for.

I am retired from a Cali university....Einstien was right...it's kind of scary. Students would not answer an email, didn't pick up their mail etc. The only way to reach them was by texting them.

The Silver Pencilled Rocks are not bad. However, when you have two or three different strains crossed in you wonder what the heck you will end up with. My guess is they will be like hatchery chickens and the traits will be all over the place. They are just trying to make a few bucks and supply some of many who want chickens for pleasure some better than averavearge triats than the feed stores offer. They are at least showing thier birds at a show.

Thats about all I saw. Still would rather get stock from a guy who at least has breed his birds for three to five years. I think in the long run you would be better off.

Going to look at some real good large fowl today at Three pm at Matt 1616 farm. Going to try to take some pictures of the new improved southern Mohawks. He has one male and two pullets I got to check out. Will take pictures of the orange and buff chickens as well.

If you have a source for some diapers I need to order some for this winter for my silkie line. bob
