I agree, but Walt is a master breeder of Runners too. I only sell the birds here at the farm in Sonoma county CA though. Dave will sell ducklings, but you better put in an order early for his white runners.

The Runners are very intriguing with thier stance. It just cracks me up seeing pictures of them, almost makes me want to stand at attention and salute or somethin

I take it, seeing the vineyard, that those are yours, Walt? They are beautiful!!!! Is that a lone goose I see in the last picture?

Yes, those are mine. The two pics with the black runners and the lone China goose female are all part of this years hatch. The all white pic is the birds I will be showing next weekend in Ventura.
I have had runners since the early 70's. I like waterfowl.....they make me laugh! The runners are pretty crazy, it takes me a while to be able to show them. I have about 50 runners after culling this years young.

And by the way, Walt, one of your runners looks a bit like a Chinese goose... bit small for a African (am I right, am I right?!?!)

Yes, a young China goose (10month old). Gives you an idea how tall the runners are and how small my China's are. I don't keep any runners with short necks. There is over 300 waterfowl here and I don't hear them unless I go outside.

Did you notice how far back I put the legs on the Runners? That is why they stand straight up. If you ever had a Call duck for a while you wouldn't say that you would never have a duck.

You would want some.
