The only thing I caution folks about when using conventional poultry carry crates is, consider stapling some plastic embroidery cloth (also called plastic canvas) over the holes. Nothing worse than having a bird stick its head out and getting it clipped off during travel by shifting crates. Didn't happen to me, but I heard about it from a friend, so I covered all the open slots in my crates. I also use it over the doors of dog carry crates for the smaller birds for the same reason, and it keeps tails from getting shredded too.
