Yeah, I hear what you're saying cub., but I've not seen many game moderns either:lol:.

As to number, it is so difficult to tell. The ALBC says the Cubans are raising the Blacks and Whites in large numbers with 2 different strains: one for eggs the other meat. However, they give no source information. Who knows if it is true or not?

cubalayas are not a American heritage breed they are a Cuban heritage breed. Breeds like RIR, plymouth rocks, jersey giants, java, dominique & buckeye are true American heritage breeds.

I also admirer someone that CAN stick to breeding one or just a few breeds...hats off to you for sticking to your breed, and not being distracted by a pretty face, I mean chicken

That's funny! It's the advice I always give beginners but have never been able to follow myself. If I could just stay away from Sale Row when I go to a show. However I have developed a good rationalization-I tell my wife it makes me a better judge to have worked with so many different breeds/varieties.

Thanks NYREDS, now I feel better about myself.

Cuba is considered part of North America the last time I studied geography: hence the "American."

There are more Americans than just United States Citizens!

Your limitation of "American" to birds only from the US is quite offensive to the other folks that share this wonderful landmass known as North America: like folks from Mexico and Canada: who are not only Mexicans and Canadians but also Americans in every sense of the word.
