He looks really nice, is he angled to the back corner of the cage? I have a friend that raises these, going to show a few for him this weekend.
It is hard to get a good picture of these. He normally stands parallel with the ground. Nothing is angled back.
Walt
Thanks aveca!He is beautiful Walt..
At the last show I went to, One of these wyadottes kept pulling his card into the cage and poking holes in it and tearing it apart..they kept moving the card around thinking it was out of reach of him, he kept somehow gettting hold of it pulling it through and playing with it..the owner put his ribbon on to take some pics, then took off to go talk to people, that chicken pulled the whole big ribbon in with him and pooped upon it..And he poked holes in it, so they had to exchange the ribbon for the owner and told them dont put it where he can get hold of it..first time Ive ever seen a chicken go after the card and ribbon like that,, they usually ignore those things..he has it 1/2 way pulled in and playing with it..
Quote: Saw one hamburg rooster at the NE Bantam show--MUCH bigger than my hatchery boy, Whity. Not sure WHY that continues to surprise me! LOL
Those feathers look like liquid fire. Beautiful. One of my German New Hampshire cockerels took Reserve Champion in the American Class at the Tucson Poultry Pigeon and Fancy Fowl Club show this past weekend! This was only my second show. It was so nice to see him up there on Champion Row! Here is a photo:
One of my Mohawk Rhode Island Red cockerels beat 8 other RIR cockerels for Reserve Breed.
There were about 200 large fowl entered and about 1000 birds total in the show.
