Bobcat vs Chicken Farmer Score is Bobcat 1 Chicken Farmer 1 (GRAPHIC)

Nice bobcat! While the .22 rimfire is an tremendously useful tool, and will get the job done at close range, I would recommend something more powerful for shots beyond @ 75 yds. Coyotes are very tough animals and rather than wound them, a centerfire rifle will put them down humanely.

Living in Oklahoma, you have some wide open spaces. A bolt action rifle chambered for something like the .223 Remington would be easy to shoot, very accurate, and get the job done with authority.

although i am a cat lover, i agree with what you did...i would definately stuff him to preserve his beauty.

Sorry, but i think that's sad :'(

I think it's more sad to lose my chickens to predators. Nice shot!

What is a coyote den like? We have lots of woods and I wouldn't mind tracking them..

Also, I found this to be ridiculously funny - "
Way I see it its either gonna be a long winter or alot of dead crap either way works for me I guess."

Haha, I am feeling the same way right now. Today's catch 1 raccoon 1 opossum 1 feral cat, all three animals this years animals Ugghh...

Its sad to say I cant shoot anything but a .22 accuratly I am a very nice shot with a .22 even at long range I do agree with you about wounding an animal I attempted to tract him but the blood trail wasnt visible anymore and all I found was a den Burrowed Into a washout.
To answer the other poster a coyote typically inhabits old rabbit holes badger holes and such then hollows them out into a den making them large enough to bare there young. a good way is to have a few hunting buddies and smoke them out. make sure there are fresh tracks and make sure you correctly identify your predator Dont ever track the unknown you need to know exactly what your up against IMO.
