Hello all,
I just joined but have followed for quit some time now. First of all I've got a large pen with a smaller branch connected but is currently fenced off that we use for a nursery. Ok here I go. We raise ducks, ring neck pheasants, and bobwhite quail all in the same pen and never had a problem with pecking. The ring necks have peepers on and we have added peepers to the chicks of the year as we were going to introduce them into the big pen with all of the other adult birds. We took one of the roosters and placed it into the new pen yesterday and almost instantly our bobwhites came over and started attacking it. We only have a pair of quail and have never bothered anything else. last night less then 8 hrs since the introduction my son came running into the house screaming that the pheasant we introduced was bleeding out of his head. We since then took him into the house so he can heal up. I cant specially say it was only the quail that did it but they have been the main aggressor. What are my options? Do I need separate pens? Peepers on quail? Help please!
Thanks in advance
