Lara and Donella shared a look then Lara knelt and held a hand out "Hey you, you aren't going to peck me or anything, are you?"

Frosty, pretending to be a normal chicken, inspected Lara's hand for food. "Clucckkk... cluck," he said and flapped his wings, then cocked his head at them.

Lara chuckled softly the pulled her bag off so she could rummage in it before laying out some sunflower seeds for him. "there you go." She said then took some more from the bag for herself.
"You give away your food, you won't have any for later" Donella said with a chuckle.

I like these humans... Frosty thought as he instantly started eating the sunflower seeds. He was so distracted by them that he accidentally started talking in human language. "Cluck... tasty....cluckk.." he said.

As Solana and River got within sight of the crash site she swore under her breath. "You have got to be kidding me, the bloody rooster is here?" Solana said incredulously as she glanced at River worriedly. A talking rooster would not help their cause any.

Lara almost choked on the seeds she was eating. Once she had recovered, she and Donella looked at one another then back to the rooster. "Did he just...?"
"Yeah, 'tasty'" "Do you think?" "Yeah, could be" The girls talked to eachother quickly, glancing between one another, the rooster and the crash site. They were thinking it had been radioactive or something to make a rooster talk.

As Solana and River got within sight of the crash site she swore under her breath. "You have got to be kidding me, the bloody rooster is here?" Solana said incredulously as she glanced at River worriedly. A talking rooster would not help their cause any.

"I'll get the rooster before anymore damage is done." Solana said acting quickly she moved closer into view of the crash site.

"Excuse me?!" She called out to the two girls, "Is that my Frosty? Oh thank goodness you found my rooster I was so worried he had been eaten by something." She said putting extra feeling in her voice as she rushed up to the rooster and scooped him up in her arms hugging him to her chest. She bent her head and whispered to the rooster so only he could hear, "If you say one word I will eat you myself, they can't know your not normal." She then looked up at the two girls and smiled at them warmly.

Solana glanced at River as she came closer, giving her the look that this wasn't going to go smoothly. She looked back at the two girls as one of them spoke to her.

"Frosty talked? Are you sure, I mean I have heard him make some very interesting vocalizations but I have never heard him talk? I mean he is just a normal rooster, well aside from being very handsome." Solana said stroking the roosters neck feathers lovingly. Trying with all her might to seem normal.
