Bonded (a planetary RP)

( :yesss: another long one!)
Linda's mandible dropped. How had the human gone from saving her life to threatening it in a moment? Those teeth were just inches from her face, bloodied from the broken nasal cavity. She could easily overtake her... couldn't she?
River stood up slowly and stood to her full height of 6 feet and walked over to Linda. She now was fine to stand "Linda," her voice was like shards of ice, cold and fierce "Why. did. you. do. that?" she snarled

She couldn't tell if the hostility was malignant or benign, but the humans had the upper hand. Okay, okay you can do this. Humans are emotional creatures, so it will only be as bad as you make it. Tell the truth, maybe? She almost laughed out loud at that one. "I... wantet to see if it was working, and... it blew up in my face?" It was not supposed to come out as a question, but it did. Stupid English language. Just change the tone at the end and you're busted.

"What?" River was confused by her words then she fit everything together "WHAT?!?!" she roared. The emotions from her past and now seemed to hit her like a wave the death of her joy, her joy had been shredded into oblivion, it had curled up like a sick puppy and died, anger, hatred, and most of all betrayal. "How could she?" she thought anger running through her "What am I to you? What am I a rodent at a lad? to be tested, poked? I could HAVE DIED from over smoke inhalation!!!" she thundered "And what do you mean 'it was working'?! what kind of stupid thing is this?!?!"

Solana and Kaaras were chatting and actually having a good time when the alarm went off. Solana covered her ears and looked at Kaaras curiously.

"Its the fire alarm, give it a minute and the fire suppression system will kick in." He told her nonchalantly. The ship was well equipped to deal with this sort of thing and he was not concerned in the least bit.

Solana nodded but still regretted having to listen to the blaring of the alarm.

Skyler was looking over the information brought together on the humans in her custody. She was a bit put off that Erin didn't want to stay but she couldn't make her, she was not for sale like the others were. She looked through the files on the others to see if she wanted to keep any of them. She was noticing that a few of the humans were not even supposed to be with this shipment when an alarm sounded and sensors on her console lit u and began flashing. She swore under her breath and checked to see what the problem was. It appeared that the fire alarm was set off but her ship sensors were not detecting any fires. There was apparently some smoke in one of the halls but it appeared to be localized. "Stupid idiots," she said as she shut off the flashing sensors on her console and reversed the duct work to pull the smoke from the hall and vent it. She touched her com. "Worf there is some sort of ridiculousness going on in the hall near the quest quarters, smoke but no fire. Check it out would you?" She told him before getting back to her paperwork.

"Will do," Worf said walking toward the quest quarters he was nearing it but not quite there yet and hared angered voices "What is going on?"

Jaxson led her to the cargo hold which was free of smoke and looked at her when she spoke. "Hey now would I ever lead you astray? Ok fair question, I brought you to the cargo hold, I know where that is, I haven't had a chance to learn the rest of the ship. But hey I got you out of the smoke!" He said with a chuckle as he pointed that out. he gave himself a mental pat on the back at that. " That was weird that smoke just came out of no where, does that happen often?" He asked curiously, it didn't make sense to him but he didn't know what was normal for them and this ship.
When they came to a stop, Narti chuckled as well. "Yeah, nice work! I suppose your species isn't comepletely useless." She said with a wry smile tugging at the side of her mouth, "I'm just kidding, I know humans aren't useless, I just never saw the point of bonding with them until now. Like, how can a human be helpful to an alien?" She laughed at her ridiculousness, shaking her head. Thank the stars Jax helped her out of the smoke; who knows what would have happened if he didn't. Narti slid to the floor and sat with her legs crossed for a moment as she took in the clean air. "Argh, that smoke messed with my head." She said, hitting the side of her head with the palm of her hand. "My home planet has the most smog, but we use crystal masks to breath clean air. I'm not quite used to breathing in smoke. But I could tell the difference in that smoke, it was from a smoke bomb, I think. But this doesn't happen often, so I'm guessing it was just one of the new humans messing around."

Donella nodded at his words, sitting down again, though she kept glancing to the door as they waited for word. "Did you get hurt?" She asked when he winced. They did have some first aid training they could use.

Lara smiled and pet Nemra, scratching her gently to calm her down again. She nodded at his words, though she had been looking at the dragon when he winced. She looked back to him at Donella's words, wondering what he would say.

Dorian looked at the girls, "its just a scratch, I am sure its nothing. Only problem with having claws is if you aren't careful you can hurt yourself." He tried to make it into a joke not wanting to worry either of them.

Nemra trilled happily and rested her head on Lara's hand and arm, happily going to sleep again.

(Haha! I don't mind having my style cramped, if only for a minute of fun XD)

Adele pulled her hood up over her hair, checking for blood stains as she did so. A bath was definitely in need after this excursion. She'd been here on this godforsaken little station for too long; too long away from the comforts of her flat and a good washing for herself and her garments. She wrinkled up her nose as the putrid stench of the man lingered around her, even as she left the room and ruined body behind. But it was good enjoyment. This whole breakup was good enjoyment, and she was grateful she had run into the cyborg earlier. Speaking of cyborg, she better not be ruining the crates of goods Adele had discovered in the locked room. She stepped into the doorway, her slim build barely blocking the dusty light. "Got what ya wanted?" She asked, narrowing her eyes to see better in the dark room.

Sybil turned around to face Adele and nodded realizing she probably couldn't see without her eye. "Light switch by the door. And yes, oh yes I found what I wanted." She replied with a grin as she hoisted the rifle up into the air for Adele to see once she flipped the light on. Her eyes focused on the beauty that was her new rifle, she had been looking for one of these her whole life. "There is plenty of other things in here though you should look around." She commented as she sat down on a crate and began checking the rifle over on her lap.

Jaxson listened to her as she slid to the ground to sit. A planet filled with smog? Sounded terrible to him, no wonder she left. He slid to the ground next to her. "Well at least it doesn't happen often. And I agree, after I was picked up I wondered in my mind why one of you would need one of use. But I suppose it makes sense now. You know on my planet, on earth people who are blind train dogs to be their eyes for them." He told her wondering if they had some sort of alien equivalent. He was happy the alarm was off now, and the smoke seemed to be clearing from the hall up ahead. He hoped her head was feeling ok as he watched her hit the side of her head. He didn't know how inhaling smoke effected them or if it was similar to humans.
