She did the human 'head shake' to indicate no. "Erm, no. I'm fine... uh, yeah. Fine.""Something wrong Lind?" River asked after she had stopped laughing
River stared at her searching her face and all emotion left her face "Linda I know your lieing you look like you just saw a ghost,"She did the human 'head shake' to indicate no. "Erm, no. I'm fine... uh, yeah. Fine."
She stared down at her for a moment. "Okay, I'll say it. You humans are weird to us. You are an intelligent race, but we are just about as different as..." she tried to think of a human term, "as mayonnaise and applesauce. You bear your teeth as a sign of contentment. sometimes you speak long and high just because it makes you happy to 'sing', and not because the words make sense. And you can do things, all kinds of things, not just your chosen profession; like how an accountant can sell art on the side. You don't make sense to us."River stared at her searching her face and all emotion left her face "Linda I know your lieing you look like you just saw a ghost,"
River cocked her head slightly, thoughtfully "Yes I could see we would be, but 'teeth baring' as you say we are smiling it is a sing to others we are happy, Singing can be silly but it is fun and some times they do mean something, and doing art is because some see it as fun, Don`t you just some times do something for fun? Yes humans are powerful and probably some way to powerful. And to be true I see many other humans as weird, silly, and stupid,"She stared down at her for a moment. "Okay, I'll say it. "And right when I thought your species couldn't get any weirder, you tell me that there are shoe wearing ponies that are used to help blind humans!" Narti said in disbelief, and sighed. After a moment or two, she listened to everything else he had to say, "A bit lonely, yes, but it's a reminder that I am stronger than most non-disabled extraterrestrials. 80 years, and I'm thriving without eyes just as well as any other alien!" She said triumphantly, pointing at herself, though the grin plastered across her face indicated she wasn't trying to be boastful. Except, all she said may not be true, as there were some difficulties that came with being blind, but she refused to admit it. "For the most part I memorize everything that I run into, safely walk through, and stuff like that. But if there are any smoke filled rooms or unexpected turn of events, you will surely be helpful." She agreed, laughing as he nudged her and in turn punched him in the shoulder.Jaxson laughed at her face as she tried to figure out the whole seeing eye dogs. "Yeah some people even have seeing eye ponies, they even give them little sneakers so they don't slip on tile floors. Seems lonely and frustrating being one of the few with a disability, I am sorry that sounds rough. Well as long as I am around I am more then happy to be your eyes, well if you need me to be. I imagine you get around quite well on your own, but should any more smoke filled hallways get in your path I will be there!" He said with a smile and nod as he nudged her side happily.
(Well, I'll leave this to Jax. Someone could walk over to Narti to murder her and she wouldn't notice them [unless they were even the least bit noisy] until after they attacked her, and then at which point she would go full savage on them, ripping them limb from limb.)When the boy and the eyeless Linda-alien thing didn't respond, Star took the liberty to crawl through the door and onto the ceiling in that room. When she was directly above them, she stood upside-down, reached down, and poked Jaxon's head.
Oh this was good. Every word Sybil shared was committed to memory for later use. Adele leaned against the open doorway, keeping her gaze on Sybil. "Well, well, kudos to you," she said, clapping slowly. "Takes a lot of guts to go after—mêlée, was it?—someone that fierce. Serves im right, all I can say. I'm all for the blood, sometimes, but unnecessary chopping only signs your death warrant." She chuckled darkly at the thought. This cyborg had guts, that was for sure. Adele ran a hand down the doorframe, careful to avoid splinters, then pushed off and exited the room. "D'ya have a permanent place of residence, or you just living street to street, day to day? Like where would someone looking to hire find you?" She called over her shoulder.
(They're quite the pair: lithe, manipulative Adele and metal limbed, hacking Sybil)

"Oh. Too bad," Frosty said. He glanced at the door. "Bye captain-of-this-ship. Nice talking with ya," he said, almost abruptly, as he hopped to the floor and squeezed through the door."Oh these? I used this set I think a week ago. Sadly it was for target practice and not something more exciting. Had this set custom made but haven't had a chance to use them since I got them." Skyler replied with a wistful sigh, she didn't get off the ship to do real missions to much these days. When was the last time she had done a hit? The last thug she had beaten down? Far too long in her books.
Crow stared at Erin. He blinked, then noticed she was also staring at him. "Err, do humans do that all the time?" He blurted out, fascinated and weirded out at the same time. She started recalling the words from the boy's music player. It had been annoying at the time, those silly lyrics blaring as she tried to nap.
But how long I say? How long had it been since she had heard human music? How long had she been depressed? This wasn't like her at all. But, then again, what girl sees the death of one friend and murder of a next in one day? At age 13, she should be worried about makeup and boys and sleepovers. Now this mere dancing- if one could call it that- seemed outlandish.
Erin burst out what she could remember,
"I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist!
Like it doesn't exist!
Keep my glass full until morning light.
Won't look down,
I won't open my eyes.
Help me I'm holding ON for dear life
I am just holding on for tonight
On for tonight-"
So loud was she, that she didn't notice the dark-headed boy standing there until she stumbled over a compressor. She stared up at him.
(Just FYI if he's an american kid he'll probably recognize her once the hair isn't dangling over her face. You know, famous superhero."Glad to be of service, and now you don't have to be lonely, cause you got me now. " Jaxson said with a chuckle, when she punched him in the shoulder he winced a bit but laughed punching her back. Then as he sat there rubbing his arm where she punched him he considered what she said. "80 years huh, that's like really old by human standards, is that old for your kind? " He asked curiously wondering how long a alien like herself lived for, she certainly didn't seem old. He felt something poke his head and reached up rubbing the spot he looked up curiously and then jumped back and gave a startled yelp. He had not been expecting a human to be standing on the ceiling above him.
He looked at the girl, "What, how are you up there?" He asked Star as he regained his composure.
"Oh. Too bad," Frosty said. He glanced at the door. "Bye captain-of-this-ship. Nice talking with ya," he said, almost abruptly, as he hopped to the floor and squeezed through the door.
