I noticed this bone keratin looking thing sticking out right above my silke roosters fifth toe. He just turned 1 and this weird thing has been growing on his foot. It's only on 1 foot though which is why I'm concerned. I know roosters can grow these claws out of their legs for defense but it's not pointy at all and is only on one leg and it feels like a bone

The angle of your pictures are messing me up, but if it’s on the leg above the toes, then, yeah, that’s his spur. Most roosters depending on the breed grow them. Circled are the spurs on my roos. Can you get a picture of them while he’s standing up? I’m pretty sure that’s what it is, but I just want to ge sure so I’m not telling you something wrong.

It's only on 1 foot tho and his feathers cover it while he's standing so that's a picture of his feet while he's laying on his back
