Aw such cute birds! I can't wait to get mine.
Here's a question - down in Florida, we had peafowl that wandered free all over several neighborhoods... it is probably too cold for them up here in Missouri, isn't it? :-(

Possibly but peas are really hardy birds and can to well in cold climates.

I was in Minnesota I think it was and there was a place with peas.

Hmm probably build em a good shelter...don't know enough about peafowl.

Sigh at my hubby. I made the mistake of wondering if they'd have litter boxes at the dollar store.

"Why?"
"Well, I got this idea from someone on byc who puts litter boxes of water around their run to cool off the girls on a hot day"
"The girls are fine"
"I dunno, some of em were panting pretty hard today..."

Sigh. Too bad. I'll go and check it out tomorrow anyway. They'll have something I can repurpose I'm sure.

My permanent coop....when we're no longer renting...will have some sort of attached storage space for rakes/shavings/food/etc.
