Guilty pleasure..gothic romance. I love Victoria holt..she started writing in the 40s and wrote under several pseudonyms too. Gothic romance isn't the typical romance. There's usually a murder and a whole lot of mystery. Phylis Whitney is good too. I savor these books because both authors are dead. I have Victoria Holt books on my shelf that I haven't read because I know once they're done..they're done. I've collected these books from thrift stores and flea markets so it's sort of a treasure hunt.
Oh me too! I read my first Victoria Holt at about 11 or 12 - Readers Digest condensed books - Mistress of Mellyn. And my eldest son is named after the hero of another one of her novels. And my daughter after a minor character in an Agatha Christie mystery. And my youngest after the pastor Nathaniel in Jeff Lynne's musical War of the Worlds (not quite a book character). ;)

I have several hobbies including wood working (furniture), hunting, hiking, gardening and reading. If I had to choose I would give them all up in order to keep reading! I have a den/office/library at home with hundreds of books. I would have more but we've moved several times through the years and have left many books behind as they are very heavy to move. For the last several years I've had a Kindle which saves a lot of space. My literature preferences have changed over time eg: adventure, action, westerns, horror, mystery. Most recently I've been reading Chinese fiction.

I turned my love for reading into writing. I now have three books on Amazon/Kindle. The most recent two are Adam II: Emergence Into a Post Apocalyptic America and Adam II: Traversing a Post Apocalyptic America. These were written under the pen name B. Camp.
Check them out!

I just uploaded my fourth book to amazon. It will be available as an ebook on amazon and Kindle. I wrote this one with my wife. The book can be found under her pen name which is Maribeth Wagner with me, B. Camp, as co-author. It may take a day or two for it to be available. The title is The Red River Gorge Killer. She describes it as a romantic suspense thriller. If you decide to read it please let me know what you think. I'll pass your words on to her.

I have a lot of hobbies, one of them is reading. My favourite author is Virginia Wolf, "The waves" Is the best of her!
I also like watching horror movies, listening to online lectures, watching history cooking on youtube and play online games on my phone, like that https://kingjohnnie-casino.com/ , when there is free time in transport or something.
