I was secretly hoping you would cause I’ve made soooo many dog threads.

I have 3 of those. The other two like to think they are lap dogs.

Gator used to think he was. Well, not really but he did like to lay his head in your lap

And he loved to have you sit on the ground with him and he would lay back and put his head on your lap and expect you to pet/massage him

Lap dogs are nice.

I didn’t used to think I liked little dogs but there is something to be said for having a nice lap companion and being able to take them more places lol plus, when raised right, most of my issues with them are non existent lol

Some can be more reactive. My half Chihuahua I always say is like a loaded gun, you just never know when she's gonna go off on another dog. The minute I pick her up or hold her she's armed and I gotta be careful how I set her down so she doesn't go after someone.

Some can be more reactive. My half Chihuahua I always say is like a loaded gun, you just never know when she's gonna go off on another dog. The minute I pick her up or hold her she's armed and I gotta be careful how I set her down so she doesn't go after someone.

He really was!! Not perfect but he really was great.

He would often lay there grumbling for attention and get progressively louder until you gave it to him

Then if you stopped petting him, he’d throw his head back in your lap and look up at you like ummmm excuse you why did you stop!?!?
