Boston Terrier Thread!!

Reasons I love Bostons:

• They are small and portable, but not too small
• They sleep under the covers
• They love everybody
• They love to sit/sleep on your lap
• Their fur is short and soft (virtually no maintenance!)
• They are an "odorless breed" and smell amazing (when they haven't been rolling in things!)
• They are easy to train
• They have amazing balance
• They don't bark a lot (they are too dumb to be guard dogs )
• Their noses twitch like a bunny's
• Their softball heads are so soft and round
• Their yawns are hilarious
• Their eyes and ears are super expressive
• Their "poop tails" are funny
• They lick everyone and everything
• Their markings are pretty
• They are goofy
• They are just plain adorable

Did I miss anything? That was a much bigger list than the last one!

Here are some reasons you might NOT want a Boston Terrier :

• They are very gassy
• They snore loudly at night
• They are demanding of human attention
• They boss around other dogs
• They lick everyone and everything
• They love to roll in (and eat) stinky things
• Brachycephalic breed health issues

I can't think of other downsides....
Some of my family members still don't really like my Bostons.

My Boston mix is fantastic! He doesn’t snore or have nose issues since his snout is a bit longer. He is demanding of human (and his “brother” dog) attention, and licks everything lol. Unfortunately he is 60 pounds! (I was hoping for a dog I could pick up, so his father must have been a big guy), Everything on the second list applies to my guy. He is also a great hunter (probably from his dad), and is super alert and sits at the window, chasing squirrels, bunnies, and deer away from my garden. What a good boy!

Here’s my mixed big boy. His ears pointed up til about a year and now they flip at the end. His favorite spot is on the couch next to one of us. But he can see out the back window there too lol.
