Oh that makes sense. Bunny was like that for a long time, but luckily it never caused the others to break their eggs. I eventually discovered she had shell gland infection and bovine penicillin cleared it up!

Anywhere I could get that without a prescription? I've already tried LA-200 and enrofloxacin.

I borrowed from a friend. That is probably the only way to get it without a prescription. Maybe ask around and see if any local ranches might have some. If you’re not close to any, you might be able to buy a few cc from them.

Thank you! It never occurred to me to ask my neighbors. There are plenty of cattle farmers around me.

I did .5 cc intramuscularly in the breast once a day for three days. (But don’t take my word completely because I don’t remember what kind I had) The results were pretty much immediate as far as telling she was feeling better. She laid her first shelled egg in almost a year about a month later! It was a huge relief because the infection had gotten a lot worse.

(But don’t take my word completely because I don’t remember what kind I had) The results were pretty much immediate as far as telling she was feeling better. That was two years ago too! She hasn’t had any egg issues since and is super healthy now.

Thanks! Having already tried two kinds of antibiotics I don't have a lot of hope, but I guess it's worth a try if I can find some. Seana is a special hen.

No, I haven't...too expensive atm. I already shelled out $165 to find out my flock is infected with an incurable respiratory disease and that could be causing her reproductive issues.
