Bought as hen, but think this 5 month old may be a roo? *MORE PICS

I have to agree, although I am disappointed. I have one less egg layer and I don't want to add another adult hen to my flock because I like them to be thoroughly handled and used to people. Maybe, just maybe, I will have some eggs before too long, and naturally, maybe some chickies. Only if the hens do the work though, I am so not sure about the money required to incubate and such.

Those last photos certainly clinched the deal - It's a rooster. It looks like he will be really pretty once he matures though!

I'd say hen too......though quite a butch one! I'd expect the comb to be much bigger by this age, for a roo, and longer, leaner legs. You'll have to wait and see to be sure! Let us know! xxx
