definetly not australorp they have black legs,,the other is golden laced wyandotte

i dont think he's a blue since blue's are never black ( own a few blue chickens) it is a wyandotte cockerel

Blues have the andalusian blue gene, just like Blue laced reds-they can be blue, black or splash in color.

I don't know of blue birds going through a "black phase" but I do know of a Black Wyandotte. Not sure why that wouldn't have been the first thought rather than Blue? BTW-Australorps have single combs not rose combs.

There are black wyandottes-we got our directly from Foley.
