I candled a few days ago, but have been pretty busy lately> I had 9 swimmers and three duds. May 4th can't get here fast enough.

A week later I put in 17 Turken eggs, I had 13 swimmers and 4 duds. Turkey's and Turkens should hatch at the same time.

Well, I awoke this morning. I got one a zippin' and one a pippin'. Bourbon Red Turkeys. And I have one turken that has pipped.

Hold on folks, here we go!!!!

As of this morning, I have 3 turkeys. 2 look great. The first one that hatched, I'm a bit worried about. It seems to have no balance. It keeps flipping over on its back and kicking. It seems strong and i've flipped it over a few times, but when I check on it it is flipped over again.

I don't think this is normal, is it?

Only 1 turken so far. Today is hatching day.

I had 6 more turkens hatch today, but no more turkeys. I hope overnight I get a couple of more. Out of nine eggs, I'm hoping for at least 4 good poults so I have a chance of breeding later.

The one that has been on its back is not getting any better. I'm afraid I may have to cull it. That's going to suck.

I hope tonight is a better night.
