I was just curious. Like you said if it is a "best bang for the buck" then it is worth it in the long run.

we use 24% feed that is ground by a local farmer and ours have flourished. once they were fully feathered, we started mixing 24% & 17% together half and half to use as a flock raiser for all our poultry. we have had excellent results.


no sticker shock here. he charges $17 for 100#.

set my dozen about an hour ago.

they are beautiful. and easy going.

I have about 6-7 left in the bator and they are due to hatch on the 21st. I got rid of 6-7 clear eggs yesterday after candleing. There were 4-5 different breeds to start with, but I'm not sure what is left. I guess that I have a suprise coming soon.
