Bourbon Red Turkeys===I'm trying again**DISASTER HIT**

Right now the boys are becoming obvious besides the strutting they're getting little carbuncles and neck changes so it's a ton easier to sort them, my first seven from my disaster hatch are three boys and four girls. The next batch is too young to tell yet.

Now I've three in the bator and about 10 under the broodies. Not like they let me in there to count...

Good luck with yours... Cher

Oh Crap!!!!!!!!!

I was called away out of town over this past weekend and week. I left my eggs in care of my 21 year old DD. I gave instructions to turn 3 times a day. That's all she had to do. I had 10 swimmers when I left. I don't know what happened. I candled last night to see how everybody was doing. I'm down to 4 eggs that looked to be developing I think. Movement was very hard to see. The rest quit. I hope they were just resting and my eyes weren't working very well.

Oh man, I just wanted a couple of more so I had a chance to get a breeding pair and maybe a tom or two for thanksgiving. I hope these last couple make it.

Darn it!!!!

Roll em four or five times today and candle em again tomorrow and give them a minute to move while you stand there staring and wondering if you're making stuff up or just lookin like a fool.

Sometimes if you wait and watch long enough you get a surprise - I think they sometimes KNOW you're out there freaking out and hold still deliberately.

As I stand there screaming at them to move. My wife thought the dog died.

I will candle them again. Quick question?? I moved them yesterday into my super bator where the temp is more stable, however it is in the garage. Florida weather has been hot and huimid. The bator says 60% humidity. At day 18 (today) is this too high? Putting the super bator in the house is not an option at this time. I believe actual humidity may be lower due to other hatches sticking in shell.

If at first you don't succeed, throw out the instruction book and wing it.

60 is running high, or it would be for here, drop a dry towel in there if one will fit. I mostly don't even pay attention to humidity until the end since mine is running between 30 and 40. If you think your is running drier than your reading - then don't worry.

Yeah I've been known to yell at eggs...

I try to do it when everyone is at work in the whole valley so I am not caught...
