Aren’t they territorial? Ah no I’ve just read that they’re not. Good idea.
Don’t think I could easily despatch something that big.
Although I know a lot who would.

Older males might be. I know you usually have more than a couple if you have them though.

I use dry cat food. It works pretty well for raccoons. Marshmallows also work well, and I don't get the random possum or cat. I've trapped six raccoons this year, unfortunately. I just wish they would stay in the woods and out of my farmyard.

Dealing with a particularly smart raccoon now who keeps getting at my jar of peanut butter without triggering the trap. Set it up so he couldn't get at it from the outside. This morning caught an opossum though.

Caught a baby opossum yesterday morning. Bought some big marshmallows to switch to and try and get the raccoon that's causing problems. Will reset tonight.
