That looks like a pullet but I'm not familiar with anything other than single combs. Very beautiful chicken

He's a cockerel. I already see hackle and saddle feathers coming in.

thanks for the input, it's harder to tell without the single comb, and he/she hasn't been mounting any of the hens. But the face is bright red and you mentioned the hackle and saddle feathers are starting to show.

cockerel. He's a baby still, so I wouldn't be expecting crowing or mating. He's just at the young end for sex feathers. But, the amount of comb and the redness to it say male, as does the patchy coloring.
