Boy or girl?

I have a parakeet. YAY! S/he is 3 1/2 years old and i've had her/him for their whole life. I've always thought it was a boy, but recently, I've been think girl. Any ideas?

Can you show a close up of the beak? If it is a boy, the top part where the nostrils are will be blue, if it is female, it will be brown.

A male budgies cere (where their nostrils are) starts out pink or purple as juveniles and either stay pink or turn bright blue at maturity depending on their mutation. females will start out powder blue/white and gradually turn tan then nut brown as they go into breeding condition before eventually loosing the brown colour as they come out of breeding condition, this is a repeated process.
