Looks like too much wattle for a five week old pullet. So that would make me say roo. You may have to wait a few weeks though, and just see how she/he develops. You'll be able to tell soon enough!

I'm going to say pullet only because at that age the wattles should be turning red and in the pictures I'm just not seeing that.

Thanks everyone! I'm VERY worried about her as she is so sweet and shy. I wish I had raised these birds before so I knew more about their growing:-/ poor Daisy (orp) will be all alone if Rosie is a boy. I'll post more pics as she ages. Does anyone know if SS roos are loud??

Ok. So Rosie is now almost seven weeks old. She is completely feathered out, (which is a sign that she is a female I think) her comb has gotten slightly bigger but it's still yellow. Her wattles, however, are still the same size as they were two weeks ago. So what do you all think of "her" now? (The fist picture was taken a week ago so she has feathered out more now. And sorry the pictures aren't very clear.)

She reminds me of my cuckoo marans that had a large comb. She grew into it though, so I'll still hope for a pullet for you!
