Boys VS Girls

Sure, you can name train a turkey. They are very intelligent. You probobly should google the video of the guy who lived with wild turkeys he hatched, and discovered they were very good communicators, and how they did it.

Personally, I'd get a bag of field corn, and call him his name, and give him a corn. After a few days/weeks (?) through positive reinforcement (a psych term) he will learn that when you say that name, something nice happens. He'll learn when he hears it, he'l gonna get fed. It won't take long.

They are at least as smart as rats, which definately learn their names.

really? I thought that the intelligence was bred out of them...

I know wild turkeys are genius, but what about BBW or BBB (i am aware of the fact they are the same breed)

The follow me around anyways, and are 3 days old so I cant really feed them treats..

is 6 weeks to old to start name training a cochin?

Nope, I'd start. Remember, give them something they love while you use their name. Over and Over and Over and Over. Anything with wits and ears will get it eventually, most likely. Its up to you to be patient and persevere.

They aren't too dumb. Don't believe everything. They just aren't as wild, it doesn't mean they are ignats.

LOLm no no, ive had turkeys, and I understand how intelligent they are, they seemed dumber cause of the way they ran but still, we put them in a warm spot with food and water and they wanted to go back out in the rain!

Ill try, i picked one out, i colored her with food coloring so i could tell her apart :lau

Good choice, a hen will make a better pet. A male will jump you eventually. You marked her w/food coloring?? OK. What color?

You might see if your mom will let you keep her in the cage by your bed at night while shes little. You want her to bond with you.
