alrighty so in the mail i got 4 duck eggs instead of 3. so to celebrate i am incubating one in my bra! i may end up putting more than 1 in because my incuator is too hot but i shall see how it goes! so day 1. feels weird, but not too bad. i will see if i can stand it!

note i cleaned the egg as instructed and so far its nice and warm!

daily note: i took temp under the mountains. its 99.1 degrees. i am really a hot mama (get it cause im mama duck)

Put something between you and the egg even if it is some thing really thin .......

Your body only gets so warm and the egg needs 99.5 if you got a thermometer check your skin temp and see if you can reach 99.5 I am interested in see this hatching out but skeptical ......

Any way

gander007 its no problem! believe i or not my body temp naturally is 100! so i get about 98-99 in my bra alone! and the humidity is pretty within range for ducklings!

There have been women that said the successfully hatched chicken eggs that were kept in their bra - Of course if you do it 24/7 accidents do happen like rolling over at night and breaking the egg.

drumstickdiva i know! i am hoping to be very careful! luckily im a back sleeper, i have never been a belly sleeper. and i am hoping this goes well too! i cant wait to candle my ducklings in 5 days!

day 2 and everything seems fine. the ducklings in our incubator seem alright as the temp is stable. the one in my bra is doing fine as well. it survived the night and stayed put where it was supposed to be! temp today is close to yesterdays if not just a tiny bit higher. egg (now being called little fish) survived my work day as well. there were no problems. im getting excited to be able to candle to see progress!
