Brahma a hen or a rooster

lo
Are you sure that is a Brahma? That looks like an EE to me. However, I am by no means an expert... But I have had 2 brahma's a rooster and a pullet... the rooster was a bantam... my pullet is a full size.
Also, Brahma's have feathered feet... I need to get better pictures of Mocha, because she is way older now...

"She" is about 5-6 months old and I'm concerned that those are saddle feathers.... is it possible that is just what these giant Brahmas look like? I don't really want a rooster with my three hens and I've gotten attached to "Florence"...View attachment 1109197View attachment 1109198View attachment 1109199

Need age and a photo of the whole bird in a natural standing position without human body parts blocking the view.

Nope, that's a hen. Silver laced Wyandotte mix-- they should have rose combs but yours has a single comb.
Single combs pop up now and therm in pure lines due to the genetics involved.....a good breeder removes the bird, and parents, from the line... which is why its more common in hatchery birds where quantity is valued over quality.
Such birds are great for production, though, so if eggs is what one is after its no big deal

Yes, a rooster. Not a Brahma though, he has a beard. Maybe a Brahma mix or E-E. Good luck. He is quite the handsome fellow too. :D
